Editorial Policy

The Naradmuni Editorial Policy — Independent Reporting, Sources, and Accountability.

The Naradmuni is an independent digital news platform and YouTube news portal focused on in-depth journalism covering bureaucracy, politics, governance, administration, public policy, government decisions, employment, and matters of public interest.

Our journalism is built around research, verification, accountability and responsible reporting. We aim to go beyond surface-level news and bring our readers and viewers credible information, context and investigative stories.

Our core editorial principles are:

Credibility | Truth | Accountability | Public Interest

1. Accuracy and Credibility

Accuracy and credibility are the foundation of The Naradmuni's journalism.

We make reasonable efforts to verify facts, documents, official records, statements and information obtained from sources before publishing a story.

We do not knowingly publish fabricated, misleading or deliberately false information.

Where information is not independently verified or remains subject to confirmation, we aim to clearly communicate its status and avoid presenting allegations or unverified claims as established facts.

2. Investigative Journalism

Investigative journalism is an important part of The Naradmuni's editorial identity.

Our investigative stories may examine government functioning, bureaucracy, public administration, political developments, public expenditure, institutional decisions, complaints, irregularities and other matters of public interest.

We may rely on official documents, government orders, reports, records, data, interviews, credible sources and other verifiable material in conducting investigations.

Allegations, complaints, claims and documentary evidence are distinguished from independently established facts wherever appropriate.

3. Fairness and Right of Response

When reporting serious allegations concerning an individual, public official, political leader, organization or institution, we may seek a response from the concerned party.

Where a response is unavailable, the story may clearly state that the concerned party's response could not be obtained before publication.

If a concerned party subsequently provides a relevant and verifiable response, The Naradmuni may update or supplement the report where editorially appropriate.

4. Protection of Sources

Confidential sources can play an important role in investigative journalism.

Where appropriate and necessary, The Naradmuni may protect the identity of confidential sources, particularly where disclosure could expose the source to professional, legal or personal risks.

However, information received from anonymous sources is not automatically treated as fact. The credibility of the source and the availability of supporting evidence are considered before publication.

5. Political Neutrality

The Naradmuni is not a platform for promoting or opposing any political party, political leader or ideology.

We cover political parties, governments, elected representatives and political developments based on their news value, public relevance and available evidence.

Political claims and allegations are reported with appropriate attribution and context.

Our editorial decisions are not intended to favor or target any political organization or individual.

6. Coverage of Bureaucracy and Governance

The Naradmuni has a particular focus on bureaucracy, government administration and institutional functioning.

Our coverage may include IAS, IPS, State Administrative Service officers, police officials, ministries, departments, collectors, commissioners, secretaries and other public officials.

We report on transfers, appointments, government orders, administrative decisions, departmental actions, complaints, policy decisions and other matters based on available records and credible information.

Personal allegations against public officials are not presented as established facts without adequate supporting evidence.

7. Documents and Evidence

Where possible, important claims are verified through government orders, official communications, reports, judicial records, public documents, data or other reliable sources.

Documents obtained from unofficial or external sources may be subject to verification before being presented as authentic official records.

Where the authenticity of a document cannot be independently established, we will make reasonable efforts to communicate that limitation.

8. Headlines, Thumbnails and Presentation

The Naradmuni aims to produce clear, informative and engaging headlines.

However, headlines, thumbnails, social media posts and promotional material should not deliberately misrepresent the substance of a story.

We do not believe that misleading clickbait should come at the cost of journalistic credibility.

The headline and visual presentation should reasonably reflect the facts and context contained in the report.

9. News, Analysis and Opinion

We seek to maintain a clear distinction between factual news reporting, analysis, commentary and opinion.

News reports primarily focus on verified facts, available evidence and relevant responses.

Analysis and opinion may involve interpretation or commentary, but such content should not be presented as straightforward factual reporting.

10. Corrections and Updates

The Naradmuni recognizes that errors can occur in journalism.

If a factual error is identified, we will review the matter and, where appropriate, correct or update the published story.

For significant factual errors, an appropriate correction or clarification may be added to the article.

Our objective is not to conceal mistakes but to ensure that readers have access to accurate information.

11. Right to Reply

Individuals, officials, institutions and organizations mentioned in serious allegations or significant disputes should have an opportunity to present their position where reasonably possible.

A response received after publication may be incorporated into an existing report or published separately, depending on its relevance, significance and editorial merit.

12. Privacy and Sensitive Information

The Naradmuni respects individual privacy.

Personal information should be published only where there is a legitimate journalistic reason, significant public interest or legal basis for doing so.

Special care will be taken in reporting matters involving minors, victims of sexual offences and other vulnerable individuals.

Applicable laws and responsible journalistic practices will be followed in such cases.

13. Social Media and User-Generated Content

Content circulating on social media is not automatically considered authentic or factual.

Photos, videos, screenshots, social media posts and other user-generated material may be reviewed and verified before being used in our reporting.

Where independent verification is not possible, the report may clearly identify the material as unverified or attribute it to its original source.

14. Editorial Independence and Advertising

The Naradmuni seeks to maintain a clear distinction between editorial decisions and commercial interests.

Advertising, sponsorships, partnerships or commercial relationships should not determine the factual content or editorial direction of news reports.

Editorial decisions should be based on news value, public interest, facts and journalistic considerations rather than commercial pressure.

15. Public Interest Journalism

The Naradmuni believes that journalism has an important role in informing citizens about matters that affect public life.

We give particular attention to issues involving governance, public administration, public funds, government policies, institutional accountability, political developments and matters of wider public interest.

Our journalism aims to ask important questions and bring relevant information into the public domain through facts, documents and responsible reporting.

16. Editorial Independence

Editorial decisions at The Naradmuni are based on newsworthiness, public interest, available evidence and journalistic standards.

No individual, political party, government institution, corporate entity, advertiser or external organization should determine the editorial outcome of a news report.

17. Transparency and Accountability

The Naradmuni is accountable to its readers and viewers.

We welcome factual corrections, clarifications and credible responses concerning our published reports.

Where a legitimate and verifiable concern is raised about a story, the editorial team may review the matter and take appropriate action.

18. Use of AI and Digital Tools

The Naradmuni may use artificial intelligence and other digital technologies for research assistance, transcription, translation, data processing, editing and newsroom workflows.

However, AI-generated information is not automatically considered accurate or publishable.

Information produced or assisted by AI must be appropriately reviewed and verified before being relied upon in published journalism.

The ultimate editorial responsibility for published content remains with The Naradmuni.

19. Legal and Professional Standards

The Naradmuni respects the Constitution of India, applicable Indian laws and generally accepted professional standards of journalism.

We seek to uphold freedom of expression while also respecting principles relating to accuracy, fairness, privacy, reputation, defamation, intellectual property and other applicable legal requirements.

Nothing in this editorial policy is intended to override applicable law.

20. Our Editorial Commitment

The Naradmuni is committed to delivering credible, factual, independent, research-driven and public-interest journalism.

We believe that the greatest asset of any news organization is the trust of its readers and viewers.

Our commitment is therefore simple:

“Credibility First. Truth Always.”

The Naradmuni will continue to pursue meaningful stories, investigate issues of public importance, question systems and institutions where necessary, and provide reliable information to its audience with responsibility, fairness and journalistic integrity.
